Acousticom Corporation “Electronic Noise Cancellation “ or ENC headset is the latest addition to the long line of quality durable helicopter aviation headsets designed and manufactured in our Elkhart, Indiana facility!

Using the principle of “Active Noise Reduction” which is using sound to cancel or delete unwanted low end frequency noise from reaching and possibly damaging the users eardrums, Acousticom Corporation headset designed for use in high noise environments also included many of the standard features found on our Aerofit headsets.

The ENC module (located inside the sealed earcups) is designed for maximum efficiency and long life to offer the end user a degree of sound cancellation never heard before! The ENC module is powered by a single 9-volt alkaline or Ni-Cad battery supply, which gives the ENC module and estimated thirty (30) hours of use. An optional hard wire module to tie into the aircraft power supply is available for an additional cost.

Acousticom Corporation has also designed an additional internal “auxiliary” battery supply as well as an easy-to-see “go/no go” power lights for a greater degree of safety. Acousticom ENC headset also has a “fail-safe” system to ensure that the Aerofit ENC will perform as a high quality passive aviation headset if the ENC module is switched off for any reason.
